Accreditation Canada celebrates the accreditation of nine Georgian healthcare organizations

In February 2025, Accreditation Canada awarded accreditation to nine healthcare organizations in Georgia. Each completed the full accreditation cycle of the Qmentum International program and met the international standards of the Health Standards Organization (HSO).

The road to accreditation began in early 2023 with training and capacity building. With the support of Accreditation Canada’s advisers and of the team led by Dr Giorgi Pkhakadze, Accreditation Canada’s representative in Georgia, the organizations introduced quality-improvement programmes, strengthened their systems and improved the care they provide to patients.

The award ceremonies also became a platform for sharing knowledge and experience with other Georgian healthcare providers, supporting the country’s wider goal of raising healthcare standards and improving outcomes for patients.
